Selected parts of the CA State Vehicle code pertaining to bikes.
21200 - Bicyclists have same rights and duties as car drivers.
21202 - Bicyclists slower than traffic shall ride at right except when passing vehicle/bike going same way or preparing to turn left. If right edge is too narrow or contains hazard (e.g. animal, bicyclist, debris) bicyclist may occupy the entire right traffic lane.
21960 - No pedestrians on bikeways if sidewalk or path available.
21201 - Bikes ridden at night must have headlight and reflectors on pedals, front & rear of bike, and two on each side of bike.
21461 - Bicyclists must obey all traffic signs and signals.
